This river

“This river sets me free.” – A.J

This river washes away my sins
Sins the naked eyes don’t dare to see
It washed my sins away and convinced my mind they are no more sins
A river so deep it covers the very thought
It flows into the Nile and floats in the Jordan
Parade in the Dead Sea,
Before moving along
It washes sins the very flesh has no justice to forgive
Find its way to the Pacific that dares not to mix with the Atlantic
It holds secrets I never unveil
Burn secrets and drown them with a wave
This river knows more than my mouth will say,
And more than my body portrays

©️ Anita Johnson

Amos 5:24  But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.

Don’t be a pessimist be an optimist
