No self pity

I want to tell you it’s okay, but I can’t.
I’m watching you fall apart
Unable to give you an arm.
You’ve been so strong
You don’t know how to deal with this broken heart.
I would tell you it’s okay to cry,
But you’ve done that all night.
I wish I knew how to hug you,
In your hard times.
I should have said it’s okay, just cry and let it out
Instead, I said hold your head up and smile.
There’s no self-pity where you lie.

Who knoweth the power of thine anger? even according to thy fear, so is thy wrath.
