life lessons

Life taught me to love,
Love taught me pain,
Pain shows my tears.
Tears show me prayer,
Prayer taught me patience,
Patience taught me lessons,
Lessons say live,
Living says time.

Don’t be a pessimist be an optimist

Paint

I never wanted to stay

Like I portray

I could paint the story in black and gray

Or maybe in color full of haze

But that’s not like me

I paint and paint until it all fades away

Telling stories, I don’t know how to illustrate

I paint the pain, got a hose, and wash it all away

Watch as the colors slowly intertwined

Wondering if I’ll ever say what’s on my mind

For someone with much to say, playing mute is my favorite game

I might tell the truth when I write,

But it’s not there for the eyes with sight, that are blind

I write the story in my mind, got a pen and paper

And suddenly I get amnesia
