Open yet closed book

Why are you like that?
You’re saying a lot yet holding back.
Why are there so many pages to read?
But I can’t comprehend a sheet.
Why are you afraid to love, but love like you’ll never die?
Like the people you love, won’t wake up one day and find out you’re not by their side.
Why do I feel like I’m playing scramble with your whole life?
You tell the truth, yet I have to draw the line,
And as soon as I figured it out you go and burn it with a light.
You’re open yet closed,
You don’t lie you composed,
I sometimes wonder how you keep your soul.
Your smile lights the dark night,
Yet you can say goodbye to the person you love without a blink of an eye.
Why do you keep your distance, yet forced open the door?
Dance to every rhythm like they’re yours,
Sing your soul in every song you sing.
Why are you an open yet closed door?

For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light. Luke 8:17

Don’t be a pessimist be an optimist

A girl with a smile.

“A smile is the most expensive item to wear.” A.J

Somewhere behind the clouds, behind the stars
I see a girl who is trying to find out who she is and what she’s for.
Her moments of failures greave her heart
Make her cry yet she gets up and try
She could walk for miles and miles
With just faith by her side,
But sometimes at night, her faith runs dry
When there’s nothing in sight
Then she keeps wondering why?
Hasn’t she tried, didn’t she work hard enough late at night
Isn’t she good enough to be something in this life
She has doubts, but hides them with a smile
She hates when others know she’s been crying
she is just a girl with a smile
