I find peace in the rain.
I can’t be the only one who loves the smell of the rain on the pavement.
How it sparkles down slowly,
Then slowly build up its range.
How the leaves tremble at every droplet or bow if I must say.
How it rushes along the tunnels,
The aroma when it hits the soil,
How it falls on the water each time.
How it changes the sky,
I can’t be the only one who loves the rain.
Sure, I’m not the only one it brings joy instead of pain.
In it is where I’d love to lay,
To close my eyes as it falls gently on my face,
How I love the rain.
With my hand out the window, I’ll catch a few droplets in my palm,
A few may slip through my fingers, but that’s the best part,
Oh, I love the rain.
